Harbron Hullabaloo: Dec. 27/09

.

At this annual event the women tend to sit on the floor, while the men sit in chairs or on couches. Here I am pictured breaking this pattern.

Shortly after this, the women got up and left. Hmm. Life is hard as a trailblazer.

Thanks, Harbrons, for again hosting this fun event!

"My Big Fat Greek Christmas"

.

My family was getting together on Dec. 26, so Spuro invited me to join his family meal on the 25th. Wow, what a great meal! Thanks, Rosa!

It was especially interesting to chat with their Gr. Orthodox priest, Fr. Nick. I hope to do so again sometime.

Christmas Eve (Afternoon) at Gayle's

.
Gayle is the other grandmother of my niblings (Geri's kids) and gets us together for a meal every Christmas Eve. This year was special as Geri, Sonny and Clifford were in town. All the photos are by Geri.

Hey Shannon! Look what I found!

.

While I was still working for Dorion Bible Camp, I photographed Shannon Kuchta's Camp Gitchigomee logs, thinking we might be able to borrow and adapt their idea. Then she lost them (to a dog?) and today I found the photo I took of them so that they can be reproduced (or she can at least print the picture).

Karaoke at the Hodder: Dec. 20/09

.

The Sunday Evening Improv Group (the Improvers?) took over the Hodder for the 2nd Sunday night in a row for a night of Karaoke and literal-song-interpretation dancing.

I attempted to sing The Mighty Quinn (Dylan), Let It Rain (Clapton/Bramlett), Oh! Darling (Beatles - McCartney mainly) and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (U2). Actually, What I'm Still Looking For are Karaoke tracks in a baritone range. Ouch!

My Solo Music

I've had my Transparencies stuff on-line for a while at reverbnation.com but over the last couple of months I've been uploading my solo stuff to my Richard Pepper account there.

Dorion Bible Camp Pictures from 1976

.

Click the pic of Geri and the rabbit to see a couple of pix from 1976. Hey, that rhymes! (No, I did not actually upload them in '76. I just like to do it this way.)

Christmas Carolling: Dec. 5/09

.

Four of us from the Sunday Evening Cambrian Players Improv Club went carolling door-to-door in the Shuniah St. area. Then we returned to Brian and Kaela's (pictured), to play a get-to-know-you drinking game (called WTF?)in which none of us actually drank, and then Charades (pictured), Rock Band and real music jamming.

Thanks, Brian and Kaela (and little one)!
