When Kaela was called on the perform the part of an elderly lady, Baby Solaar was drafted into the role of the lady's walker.

Ruth Bjorkman and I were scheduled to sing at a Senior Home on April 22. However, I was attending a funeral earlier that day and it happened to be next door to her apartment. So after the funeral, we would just practise at her place and then go sing.

Her Harley was parked outside and I thought it would be pretty funny, if some of the folks from the funeral were admiring it, to just plonk myself (gently) down on it: "Ah, I ain't scareda no biker."



So that's what this picture is - except that no one was watching, after all. It would also have been a better story of coincidence, if she had actually been home, instead of at LU at the time, which was our usual meeting place.

But I did get a nice, free lunch out of it. (Ok. Ok, economists! I know there's no such thing as a free lunch.)

Camp Gitchigomee Senior Week Staff Reunion: Apr. 21/10

Camp Gitchigomee Senior Week 2009's staff got together for a BBQ at Kuchtas' for the purpose of being impressed by Kevin's ability to make a pop can stand on its edge. See below.

Kaela's Birthday Party: April 17/10

Kaela (in black) is a new mother and so I gave her a "Happy Birthday, Mom" card.

Most of the guests were playing a Murder Mystery in a Box game. Here John displays his identity on his forehead.

Things I Like/Things I Don't Like: Apr. 17/10

Andrew Paulsen (top pic, far right), with whom I acted in Cambrian Players' "Halo" is a grad of the Con College film program. He recruited several of us to be the subjects of his indie film about our likes and dislikes.

For the credits our names were written with a big Sharpie on our hands.

Camp Gitchigomee's Annual Spring Fun Day was held at St. Thomas' this year, and organized entirely by the St. Thomas'/Junior Camp team led by Georgine Salmonson.

Cambrian Improv @ Con College: Fri. Apr. 9/10

We performed in the Cafeteria amidst an art display. I think this may have been our first public performance (aside from participating in the Arthritis Society Event.

Tie-Dye Party for Cambrian Improvers: Apr. 4/10

The Cambrian Players Improv Club performed in the College College caf on Friday April 9. So we created a bit of a uniform by tie-dyeing some t-shirts at Kaela and Bryan's.

Mini High School Reunion: April 2/10

John Winslow and Bill Johnson both went to Churchill High (and ISCF) with me (though a few years younger). We got together at Tim Horton's on Good Friday. A stranger at the next table took the picture.
