New Year's Eve 2012/13

.

I spent New Year's Eve at Lakehead Baptist with many of the same people who'd been at the Harbron Hullabaloo. The evening featured an outdoor game of tag with flashlights, a pallet fire, food, board games and a round of Mafia.

Click here to see what Facebook chose as being the most important events in my life in 2012. Remember: this was not done by me, but by some algorithm.

I don't actually know what an algorithm is; it just sounds impressive.

I think you have to be logged into Facebook to see this, though you don't have to be my friend.

So here are screenshots for those not on Facebook. Click on the first thumbnail. Thereafter clicking each large pic should advance you to the next.

Harbron Hullabaloo: Dec. 30/12

.

I usually spend Sunday evenings at Cambrian Players' Improv Club, but Sun. Dec. 30 was the date for the annual Harbron Hullabaloo. This is a gathering where various members of Rising Son/Hardcore/Emmanuel come together, notably those, such as Robin's sister, Erin, and her family, who no longer live in Thunder Bay.

Board Game Night: Dec. 29/12

.

Bright Lights Big City: Dec. 29:

I think these are both from the same night, sent by Shroom in 2024 when he told us Ken had died.

.

"Revolver" Cover Album: Dec. 28/12

.

A Facebook Group (founded by Darren Foulds) put this together following (or not) rough guidelines of solo performances, one take only, no overdubs of the songs from the UK version of The Beatles' 1966 "Revolver".

My contributions are "Taxman", "Love You To", "Got to Get You Into My Life" and "Tomorrow Never Knows", and I recorded/edited "Jim 'n' I"'s version "I Want to Tell You". I especially had fun with "Tomorrow...", in which I broke the rules. That seemed appropriate, since the original was kind of a rule-breaking song itself.
