I hadn't read the comments on this blog entry yet, but I had wanted to tell you that I've had that song going through my head ever since I first read it...
What was especially funny (to me) was that I taught about William the Conqueror today and came very close to bursting into song several times (but resisted because my kids don't know those particular Anglo Saxon words yet and, quite frankly, I'm enjoying that fact).
Now as I came to share that I realized Robin quoted from Anglo-Saxon already.
That reminds me of the person in front of me at Fellowship of the Ring who exclaimed "that's it? It's over?"
