my theme was "seeing": I Can See Clearly Now (Nash), You Won't See Me (Lennon/McCartney), and I Shall Be Released (Dylan) (Budokanish version, with 3rd verse of 1986 Letterman appearance). Review: "You have a good voice, Grampa." - Alec (from Ottawa?). Highlights: "Driver's License" (Rodrigo) sung by JPW's daughter. "Northwest Passage" (Roberts) a capella "Moon River" sung by Morgan A rare appearance by Clay Breiland.

Brian was back in town (from Fiji) and so all five of us met at Tim's new condo. My contribution was Kitaro's "Silk Road" (1980). We had a fair amount of electronica that evening.

My theme was "Hurt":

Hurt (Reznor,* Johnny Cash style), Hurtin' Song (Pepper), and Everybody Hurts (R.E.M.).

* written for his Swedish friend.

Highlights: return of KC and Sterling.

Review: "Great job on that original." - Charlie (left-handed guitarist pictured). I actually worked hard on the covers, and barely on my own song, but I was reasonably satisfied with the results. Anyway, it was a positive from a fellow performer!
