"Halo" opens tonight! : Nov. 12/09

.

Halo by Josh MacDonald, directed by Kathryn Ferrazzo.

8 PM at the Paramount Theatre (Court and Park Sts). $10 tonight. $15 every other night.

Tickets available from Steeper's and Fireweed.

Nov. 12 - 14, 18 - 21st.

I play Stu, "customer", Nat (pictured above) and "Greasy" (pictured below).

Tune I composed for one of the songs:

Natty, one of the Ass't Stage Managers, is camera-shy and so took the picture. However, she was a valuable member of the crew is with us in spirit.
Scott (sound) and Guy and Jay (lights) along with producers, Doug and Leon, were valuable members of the team as well (along with set constructors, Front of House etc. etc.).

Photos by Marty Mascarin:

I'm not sure this is from Halo (maybe Laramie). She was SM.

Cambrian Players Improv Club

.

On Sunday evenings, starting at 1900h, a group of one or two dozen of us meet at Cambrian Players' studio at the corner of Victoria and Simpson for a hour or two of Improv Theatre fun! After that it's time for Calico, Laser Tag, Poker or Karaoke!

These photos were taken Oct. 18 by Bryan MacLeod who facilitates the group most evenings.

La Bumble

Recently I bought a record/cassette player that allows me to convert vinyl & tape to digital. Once I'd converted this old make-your-own-recording perversion of "La Bamba", I decided I'd throw together yet another Windows Movie Maker video (with the help of my Mum's digicam).

The New Bishop Visits Camp Gitchigomee: Oct. 7/09

.

Even though Camp Gitchigomee is now incorporated and no longer owned by the Anglican Church, it is still largely supported by (and supportive of) the Anglican Deanery of Thunder Bay.

Consequently, the newly elected (and consecrated) Bishop of Algoma, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Andrews came to check the place out, accompanied by yours truly and a few other board members and friends of the camp.

Note that in the last picture he is wearing his gift of a Camp G sweatshirt, purple, as is appropriate for a bishop.
