
I'm guessing this was c. 1970.
This was when storebought Hallowe'en costumes consisted of a mask designed to restrict vision and breathing, and a suit that said "I am a vampire!".
Don't think my brother uncreative because of his paper bag. His homemade costumes were often much better than mine (almost as good as Travis U's). His best was his Triffid costume.

This must be from the early 70's as we are standing in front of "The Church of Christ"'s building, and we didn't attend there in the 60's.

Wed. July 17: Left. Car troubles. Ignace. Visited Wrens
Thu. 18th: Left Davy Lake. Winnipeg. Jellystone. Swam & mini golf.
Fri. 19th: Red Jacket SK. Swam.
Sat. 20th: Felt yukky. Left Bri-ma-del for Highlander (Regina). Went to stores & museum.
Sun. 21st: "Slept in to at least 6." !! Prairie Oasis. Steak. Zoo in Moose Jaw. Swam.
Mon. 22nd: Trailer troubles. "No uppies or downies". Took to garage to get fixed. Jaycee Park in Swift Current. Lunch at Salisbury House. Store.
Tue. 23rd: Lunch at Smitty's in Medecine Hat AB. Shopping plaza. Badlands Dinosaur Park. Prairie dogs. (Richardson's Ground Squirrels)
Wed. 24th: Prairie dogs. Went through Calgary. Car stalled 2x. Banff. Into town.
Thu. 25th: Through mountains to BC. Revelstoke KOA. Played frisbee and on machines. Swam. Into town and got Mad book.
Fri. 26th: Shaw's Springs. Stopped by creature litter can. Into Spence's bridge & through Kamloops. Walked on beach. Made sculpture.
Sat. 27th: Port Moody. Lunch & supper at Judi Law's. Park with kids. "fighting dogs etc." They wanted me to sleep over but "no".
Sun. 28th: Gastown. Got "our" Coat of Arms from Thunder Bay man. Rocky Point with Law guys, G & Dad. Lunch with Laws. Went to school Tennis etc.
Mon. 29th: Slept in. Stanley Park. Dad stayed behind sick. Killer Whale show and zoo. Picnic. Hunted crabs. Supper there.
Tue. 30th: Left Port Moody. Car stalled a lot. Looked for Watts. They found us. Ate with them. Ponies scared G.
Wed. 31st: Slept in. Princeton & up Hedley Road. Picnic. Chris (?) came. Washed feet. Drew. Bought totem (pole).
Thu. Aug. 1st: Left Princeton. Stalled 2x. Greenwood. Cafe. Museum closed. Had mac and cheese. Went for a drive.
Fri. 2nd: Jeff Rosehowen. Cozy Inn, Creston. Lunch by road. Into Creston. Wend to "O.O.". Steak.
Sat. 3rd: Left Creston. Fernie for toast. Daisy May Campground, For McLeod AB. To Fort. Wrote postcard to Perry. Listened to radio play.
Sun. 4th: Maple Creek Trans Canada Park. Cyprus Hills Park. Stalled just into park.
Mon. 5th: Moose Jaw Prairie Oasis. Swimming. Into town, Defence property. Hancock's Half Hour & the Lone Ranger.
Tue. 6th: Trans Canada at Moosomin. Looked for Kryluks. Asked AL at CO-OP. No find. Frisbee with Dad. Listened Gunsmoke. Dad & I watched Huntsman and Rise and Fall of the Great Lakes.
Wed. 7th: Jellystone Winnipeg. Windy. Swimming. Mini golf with Dad. Won Careers. Listened to Travels With Aunt Jane.
Thu. 8th: Slept in. Mall in Wpg. Pancake House. Museum with a "mock town". Swimming. Shuffle board with Dad. Dad 100something. Me 50something.
Fri. 9th: Paradise Point in Sioux Narrows. Into town (?). Phoned MacDonalds. They are going to Thunder Bay.
Sat. 10th: back to Jellystone. K-Mart. Beat Dad in shuffleboard 2x. Saw Yogi Bear.
Sun. 11th: Church in a school. Discussion afterwards. Planetarium. Beat Dad in Mini golf. Played shuffleboard. Phoned A(drian).
Mon. 12th: Mini golf, shuffleboard, swam, slept. Listened to Hancock & Tom Corbett Space Cadet. Rain.
Tue. 13th: Left Wpg for Thunder Bay. Ate by roadside. Black lab lay in front of car at gas station. Garden is in good shape.
