I impulse-bought the '89 Tempo in the Spring of '03 because I was expecting to need something better than my Pontiac to drive to the CSSM Workers Conference.*
Anyway, the Tempo was very unreliable.
The other day I just about impulse-bought another used car (a 98 VW Golf from Joe). It would probably not have been a terrible buy, but I thank Tim for driving me around to consider other options.
*=Though I had not yet been returned to work from my Health Leave, I was on the Ontario Director's conference duty roster, so it was reasonable for me to expect to attend, even if my return had been further delayed until the Conference.
It would have been a tense time, I suppose, but the previous year's conference was tense, too. This was due to another camp's internal strife, but we managed it, (though we did not celebrate Communion).
Wanna race? I expect to get a ride sometime soon. Last time I was in a Hyundia was when I towed my old one to its death. It was a good car, I just didn't take care of it. Your's looks super spiffy, don't EVER wash it with a brush at one of those “wash your own” places.

Hmmm. You being a M*A*S*H fan, I would have thought you'd put a pistol to the engine. But then, Colonel Potter loved his jeep, while you have a less than evident affection for the Tempo...{grin}

I always like the shinyness of the car on the lot, and the new car smell they put in them (even in the used ones).
