On Mondays (my day off) I often go to LU in order to run into some of the many people I know who study or work there (or neither). On this occasion I also spotted some of our urban deer just as I was leaving the campus.
First a doe crossed the path, leading me to think, "I bet there is another deer nearby." This is always a good thing to think when a deer successfully dashes across the highway in front of you.
And yes, there was a buck left behind on the other side of the path. As I moved in to take pictures, he decided to abandon his female friend and run off in the other direction.
