I played "Henry Saunders", the manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, who one Saturday in 1934 is anxiously expecting the overdue arrival of his star tenor, Tito Merelli, scheduled to sing the title role in Verdi's "Otello".
In this Tony Award-winning farce by Ken Ludwig, I had the opportunity on stage to scream, swear, rant, spit grapes at the audience, strangle an apparently dead body, and be hit on by a lovely lady.
