Because I had rehearsals in the 2nd week of the session back home for The Muppet Script, I did not stay for the entire two week Classic session. This year I led the singing for every evening's Scores, Songs and Stories until I left. I also led singing for the two younger sections' Bible Studies, and sometimes I led a few songs at the end of the oldest section's session as well. I also led "Little Cabin in the Woods" and "The Juicy Moose" after two separate lunches.
I participated in the Bible Study leaders' Pre-Bible Study Study (during Rest Hour - yawn!!). We also held a Pre Pre Bible Study Study after the campers went to bed. That was followed by the SoS Team planning time, but I just didn't have the energy to stay for that.
Sometimes I had my guitar with me at meals, and so one day, when the meal was delayed (due to power outage), I spontaneously led "Folsom Prison Blues", "Ring of Fire", "All-Star", and "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Then Grader led us all into the washroom where we sang "Praise the Father".
I caught no fish this year. The last night I was there I brought a pike to the shore (at Bunny) and was about to try to yank it onshore (I couldn't reach it with my net), when it gave one more jerk and escaped. Shortly after that I had a bass (?) on-line, which jumped and escaped.
I also did not feel up to walking the Island Trail this year. As well, Thaddeus who was visiting for a few days told me that it was in pretty rough shape.

Folk Fest Banquet
I portrayed an elder statesman folkie (Pete Seegerish) and opened with "Amazing Grace" ("House of Rising Son" version) and thanks for the food, followed by "If I Had a Hammer/Three Little Birds". Later when the headliners, "The Brewsters", performed with drums, I objected to their being too loud, and threatened to unplug them. Security came and hauled me away.
