To explain the allusions re. the play I was in at St. Mike's ("Go Tell It on the Mountain"):

"2001: A Space Odyssey": The play used "Also Sprach Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss at one point.

Jimmy Stewart: The voice actor of "Joseph" had to double as a servant and so his altered voice sounded like Jimmy.

The Village People: Twice "Joseph" referred to the residents of Bethlehem this way. One Native American headdress was in fact seen (see next item), but no police officers or construction workers.

Sea-Faring Native Americans: The playwright pictured the Magi as Oriental, (Sub-Sahara) African and Native American. It's not clear how this last one made it to the Middle East.
