Coffeehouse at St. Thomas' Wed. Apr. 25/07

.

Robin and I played a U2 Medley (40/Still Haven't Found/I Want You), Beautiful Scandalous Night (Hindalong, Daugherty) and Hallelujah (Cohen).
Second set (after 3 St. Thomas' kids' performances): My Sound Check Song, I Know My Redeemer Lives, Bird on a Wire (Cohen) and Tie Me at the Crossroads When I Die (Cockburn).

Review by Rick Smith:
"There is a lot of talent in the room." (General praise)
"I can tell that your bass player has played with you for a long time." (Praise of the guy right next to me).

Yes, THAT Rick Smith.

(And I do like Robin's playing.)

Will I ever blog again?

Only if I don't spend all my time facebooking.

No, at this point I plan to continue to use this spot for keeping my inner friends (and whoever else it is out there reading) apprised somewhat of my thoughts and activities.

But life will be busy the next two months as I am in a Murder Mystery on May 11 and rehearsals have already begun for Much Ado About Nothing (June 14-16,20-23).

Upcoming Schtuff

This Saturday (April 14th) I will be manning the Camp Gitchigomee display at the PRO Kids Extravaganza at the CLE Coliseum from 10 - 4. (I'll be absent at lunch and between c. 3 & 4). Especially those of you with kids might want to stop by ($2 each). Some of the exhibitors will have interactive stuff and there will be stage entertainment.

You don't have to be poor to be there.

Did you see me on the News Tuesday night about this? I was sitting in the back row, looking around for coffee and donuts.
----------------
There will be a Coffee House, Wed., April 25/07, 7-9pm at St. Thomas' Anglican (Edward & Amelia Sts.)

in support of Camp Gitchigomee, Con College Chaplaincy and Ramesh Ferris’ “Cycle to Walk” for the Eradication of Polio.

Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Dessert, Live Music

All ages: $3

Sponsored by the Thunder Bay Anglican Deanery Youth Unit.
--------------------
Note that any bassplayers or drummers (small kit) that I know who might want to jam with me there are welcome.
====================================
Note too that it is better to list the causes supported as I've done above, rather than as "Cycle to Walk for the Eradication of Polio, Con College Chaplaincy and Camp Gitchigomee."

Easter Brunch: April 8/07

.

Start your day with a big breakfast.

Breaking eggs together

Kristian likes gadgets...

...so I let him take this picture of me.
Now I see why he's sometimes shy around me!

"I ... have to ... go over here now."

Kristian also took a picture of his grandfather and Mommy, but it was mostly of her legs, so I don't think I'll be posting it.

Thank you, George, for the following pix:
