Senator Dallaire spoke at the Community Auditorium in support of Nu-Vision Ministry, an organization assisting in the rebuilding of Rwanda, after the 1994 Genocide. Their focus is on eye care and schooling for children and teens.
Heidi's dad worked with mine and so we've known each other since childhood. She and her sister, Natalie, were the ones who invited me to Dorion Bible Camp. She "graduated" from Camp and got married and had a couple of children. (I didn't.) The children soon came to camp, but the marriage ended after seven years.
Twenty five years later she and her ex, Murray, got back in touch due to the birth of their first grandchild. One thing led to another and they decided they wanted to get remarried!!
My mother and I were happy to attend this special event at the Unitarian Hall (followed by the reception at the Journey to Wellness Centre on Amelia St.).
