Supper at Suttons': Feb. 19/11
.
I had some sort of errand for Camp Gitchigomee that took me to Jim and Fran's just around supper time : )
Rachel's and my friend from Manitoba Pioneer Camp was coming over for supper with her parents from Steinbach. Her father is a church minister there, which led to a certain amount of shop talk.
All in all it was a very pleasant evening, and one that came by surprise.

Habitat for Humanity put on this event at the CLE grounds at which various kid-orientated organizations (including Everest Funeral Homes?) set up booths. I wonder if this Storm Trooper will send his kids to Camp Gitchigomee. Unlikely, since he's a clone.

Surprise Party for Carla's 30th Birthday: Feb.11/11
.
What made this party really special was the fact that Carla has Cystic Fribrosis, and, when she was diagnosed as a child, they didn't expect that she'd make it to 30!
The family gave me the privilege of singing some Dorion Bible Camp songs which Carla and her cousins remember from their childhoods and teen days.
The magician pictured is our friend, Paul Ruebsam aka Martin Wonderland.
