Trip to Winnipeg: Jan. 23 - 27/12

I accompanied my Mum to Winnipeg for her surgery. I stayed with Mike & Kyla & their animals (pictured) and spent one evening having supper & playing board games with Sara & Jason. Most of the rest of the time I hung out with my mother, using her crossword puzzle book.

Camp Gitchigomee Volunteer Appreciation: Jan. 21/12

Each year the volunteers and supporters of Camp Gitchigomee are treated to a dinner, games and songs. This year it was held in St. Luke's Anglican Church hall.

An international event in which groups such as ours in Thunder Bay (The Númenórean Research, Education and Development Society [NERDS]) raise a glass to JRR Tolkien at 2100h local time.
