My Book Club was reading The Closer We Are to Dying by Joe Fiorito which told the story of his grandfather's life (and death) in Thunder Bay. It turns out that from 1983 - 1985 I had lived across the street from him.

This "first annual" event involved the co-operation of several local theatre troupes (including Cambrian Players) in mounting ten 10 minute plays, submitted by local playwrights. We had only c. 5 hours of rehearsal times spread over three days.
I played the part of a god-like Santa (or Santa-like god) figure in "Harold" by Roy Blomstrom, directed by Jesica McNabb.
The event was a lot of fun, and the venue was sold-out. Plans are underway already for this year's event.
