Christian Supply House was founded by Miss Moyer in the 50's (or 60's?), and then was transformed by new owners into Hull's Family Bookstore. I lived in the apartment above it from 1985 until 2004. My mother was manager for a number of years, and I sometimes worked part-time there (inventory and such).
Feb. 15, 2014 was their last day of business.
I used to sit on these back steps, opening boxes while listening to demo LPs on a portable record player.
My friends, Robin & Chris, were among the entertainers that day.

The Shelter House Volunteer Appreciation (held in a hall near my house) was sparsely attended this year, due to a snowstorm. Thus there was a surfeit of cupcakes.

More than once the person contracted to clear the parking lot of the apt bldg across Walsh St. would pile their snow (illegally) at the entrance of my back alley. The entrance at the other end was blocked, too.
