Where Regent meets Dawson St. there is a path beside a house to what I thought might be a short cut. This is where it led:
Looking southish you can see that the "short cut" is a bit of a cliff overlooking a slope:

I carried my bike to the bottom of the "shortcut" from Dawson St. It led to a parking lot of an apt building on Jean, leading to ... Dawson St.:
