I have one of those dates. It seems that the day just can't seem to help but arrive and cause pain. Most of the time we deal with, or suppress to deal with later, the pain that we experience. But these kinds of anniversaries make us face once again how people disappoint us, how we may feel we have been wronged and how we may even feel that God may have let us down. An anniversary that you are allowed to be depressed about, even as you put your head down and try to muddle through.

Actually, consciously anyway, I don't really feel that mad at God. Maybe my theology allows "too much" free will to human agents. Besides the story's not done yet. This is "Saturday". "Sunday's comin'."
